The Bellemeade Street parking deck will receive anew pay-in lane device, which allow hourly customers to use cash or credit/debif card to exit without goingv through the parking bootb attendant. If a customer’s parking ticket is validate d by adowntown merchant, it will stilol need to be given to the parkinb attendant at the Also, beginning Aug. 1, a tickeg retrieval system will be implemented at all downtownparking decks. Currently, downtown decks raise their gates at7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, at 6 p.m. on Fridayh and all day Saturdaty and Sunday to allow customerw to enter freeof charge.
The city said that methodc doesn’t allow its parking operations unit to keep an accuratwe count of usageafter hours. With the new system, customer can still enter for free after hours but they will need to take a tickety to raisethe gate. When customeres exit, they will deposit the ticket at the main If a ticketis lost, it will require a $1 deposit to exit.
