Tampa Museum of Art names Seth D. Pevnick curator - Kansas City Business Journal:

Pevnick is joining TMA from the at the Gettg Villain Malibu, Calif. He remains co-curator of its upcoming The Chimaerz ofArezzo exhibition, which openws in July. In his new role, Pevnicmk will design and oversee the installation of the permanenyt collection in the Barbara and Costase Lemonopoulos Greek andRoman Gallery. He also will organizer and circulate Greek andRoman exhibitions, perfornm and publish research on the collection, and educate the public on the museum’sx antiquities collection. Pevnick is a doctoral candidate in the Interdepartmentalp Graduate Program of the Cotseh Institute of Archaeology inLos Angeles. He received a masteer of arts degree in archaeologyat U.C.
, a master of arts degre in elementary education from in Los Angeles and a bachelor of arts in classical archaeology from in Hanover, N.H., a releass from TMA said. TMA’s new location remains unde r construction at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown The 66,000-square-foot Cornelia Corbett Centere building is set to open in earlh 2010. TMA’s interim facility is located onHoward Avenue.
